RRC is excited to celebrate our first World Otter Day !
We are excited to celebrate our first World Otter Day along with the students of Dunnellon Elementary. The school will take part in a fun and creative coloring contest. The contest theme is: “Healthy Rivers – Healthy Otters”
World Otter Day was established by the International Otter Survival Fund (IOSF). It is celebrated annually on the last Wednesday in May to raise awareness for the conservation of the world's fourteen otter species. These Events are held globally, including education, social media campaigns, and webinars to highlight otters worldwide and their crucial role in ecosystems.
We are looking forward to this event and consider expanding it next year. Stay tuned!
