Rainbow River Conservation will hold the Annual Membership Meeting And Celebration December 6th (Sat.) 9:00 AM at the Rainbow River Club Meeting Hall. The Rainbow Rivers Club is located at 12450 San Jose Blvd, Dunnellon.
The public is invited to participate in this end of the year wrap up of RRC's commitment and accomplishments in protecting the Rainbow Rivers and Springs Group as well as the entire springs systems of North Florida. Education is a keen focus of RRC and the Dec. 6th meeting will have four guest presenters to enlighten and entertain us.
1. Mark Kateli, of the Florida Native Plant Society and an Advanced Master Florida Naturalist will present his "Epic Native Plant Lecture & Trivia Game". Plant Prizes will be awarded. RRC
2. Board member and master photographer Gordon Hart will present a slideshow of Rainbow River Wildlife.
3. Patricia Green, manager of the Rainbow River Aquatic Preserve will speak about the Rainbow River's current environmental challenges.
4. Troy Madison of SWFWMD will speak about the Withlacoochee Watershed, Lake Rousseau and their relationship to the Rainbow River riverine environment.
There will be a Silent Auction offering two outstanding sculptures donated to RRC by Ocala based artist Dennis Rentschler. Both sculptures are life size art works. They are one of a kind, original art works that are of gallery quality.
Come one and all and enjoy a Saturday morning of celebration with Rainbow River Conservation. The doors will open at the meeting hall of the Rainbow River Club at 9:00 AM. Breakfast refreshments will be served courtesy of RRC. Please consider joining RRC as a concerned community member. Annual dues are only $15.
